Perhaps one of the most interesting revelations that came out of the pandemic was just how much our education system needs reform.
School boards have become ideological battlegrounds on issues such as transgender policies, book bans, social and racial justice, and “preferred pronouns.” Parental rights were the latest flashpoint heading into midterm elections as parents saw education as one of the biggest issues facing our nation. Today, Corey DeAngelis, a big proponent of “funding students instead of systems,” joins us to talk about education reform. Corey is a senior fellow at the American Federation for Children, the executive director at Educational Freedom Institute, and an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute. Find out why unions are so against school choice, how we can provide more educational opportunities for children, and how we got here in the first place.
