Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, Sr., M.D., is Founder and Chairman of the American Cornerstone Institute, advancing faith, liberty, community, and life. He served as the 17th U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and spent nearly 30 years leading pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins. A pioneering surgeon, he performed groundbreaking separations of conjoined twins, earning international recognition. He is a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, acclaimed author, and co-founder of the Carson Scholars Fund, which has awarded thousands of scholarships nationwide. Raised by a single mother in Detroit, he graduated from Yale and the University of Michigan Medical School and is a husband, father, and grandfather.
