My American Story with Adaora Onuora

Tune in here to listen to Adaora’s fascinating story about her path to citizenship and why she loves America.  Adaora originally grew up in the U.S., however, after the death of her mother, Adaora and her siblings found themselves in a complicated legal battle to remain in U.S., after their father returned to Nigeria. Adaora and her siblings persevered through tragedy and tribulation, eventually becoming legal citizens. Adaora went on to advocate for foster care children aging out of the system and inspired the Foster Youth to Independence Program at the Department of Housing and Urban Development under Former Secretary Carson’s leadership.
